    Allowance for temporary work incapacity

    Following the work accident or occupational disease, the insured persons receive an allowance for temporary work incapacity, pursuant to art. 14 of the Law on insurance against work accidents and occupational diseases no. 756 - XIV of 24.12.1999.

    The allowance for temporary work incapacity following the work accident or occupational disease is granted to insured persons regardless of the length of contribution period.

    For the period during which the insured income (salary) overlaps with the allowance for temporary work incapacity as a result of the work accident or occupational disease, the salary is paid and not the allowance.

    The amount of the allowance for temporary work incapacity is 100% of the insured person's average insured monthly salary for the last 6 months preceding the month in which the work accident occurred or the occupational disease was diagnosed.

     

    If the insured person has been classified as disabled by the end of the 180-day period, the allowance will be paid up to the date on which the decision to classify the person as disabled was issued.

     

    In order to establish the allowance for temporary work incapacity, beneficiaries of the public social insurance system are required to submit the following documents:

    - report of the investigation of the work accident (original or authenticated with a wet stamp of the State Labour Inspectorate) or the advisory conclusion issued by the Republican Centre for Occupational Diseases

    - certificate of sick leave (original)

     

    - identity card (copy).

     

    The allowance for temporary work incapacity is paid for working days in the first 20 calendar days, calculated from the date of temporary loss of working capacity, by the employer from his own means, and from the 21st calendar day for working days - from the means of the state social insurance budget.

     

     The duration of the allowance for temporary work incapacity is up to 180 days within a year and is calculated from the first day of sick leave.
