One-off compensation for damage to the health of persons with disabilities among those involved in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident and nuclear experiments, ionising radiation damage and its consequences at civil or military atomic targets

a)  One-off compensation for damage to health shall be paid to disabled persons whose disability has been established as caused by the Chernobyl accident or by nuclear experiments, ionising radiation damage and its consequences at civilian or military atomic targets, among:

b) persons (temporarily directed or on mission) who participated in the liquidation of the consequences of the damage in the disposal area or other work at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant;

c) servicemen, employees of internal affairs bodies, military servicemen, conscripts recruited for special cantonments, those who have served during this period in the Armed Forces, in troops and bodies of the State Security Committee, in internal affairs and railway troops, in other formations, having been engaged in liquidating the consequences of the accident at the disposal area or other works at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant;

d) persons who came in 1986 from the dead zone or the displacement zone, whose disability has been established as caused by the Chernobyl accident and who have received citizenship of the Republic of Moldova;

e) persons who became ill with actinic disease or disabled as a result of nuclear experiments, ionising radiation damage and their consequences at civilian or military atomic targets: 

This compensation shall be paid to all persons with disabilities, regardless of the date on which the disability was established.

- application;

- identity card, confirming citizenship of the Republic of Moldova;

- identity card for participation in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident;

- employment record book;

- certificate issued by the National Council for Determination of Disability and Work Capacity or its structures or by the Disputes Commission under the Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Family confirming that the determination of disability is the cause of the Chernobyl accident or nuclear experiments, ionized radiation damage and their consequences at civil or military atomic targets.

The one-off compensation shall be set in the amount of one average monthly salary per republic for the month preceding the month in which the application for compensation was made, for each percentage of loss of professional capacity for work.
