Annual material aid

As of 01.01.2024, annual material aid (unique) for the following categories of citizens shall be established and paid in the manner determined by the Government:

a) persons with disabilities resulting from participation in combat actions in Afghanistan and family members of participants who died in combat actions in Afghanistan (spouses and one of the parents) - in the amount of 1000 MDL;

b) persons with disabilities resulting from combat actions for the defence of the territorial integrity and independence of the Republic of Moldova and members of the families of participants who died in combat actions for the defence of the territorial integrity and independence of the Republic of Moldova (spouses and one of the parents) - in the amount of 1000 MDL;

c) persons with disabilities whose disability is caused by their participation in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident, persons who became ill and suffered from actinic disease or became disabled as a result of nuclear experiments, ionizing radiation damage and their consequences at civilian or military atomic targets during military or special service and family members of deceased participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident (spouses and one of the parents) - in the amount of 1000 MDL;

d) participants in the Second World War from the categories specified in art. 7 par. (2) point 1) letters a) to e) of the Law no. 190/2003 on veterans, persons with disabilities from the Second World War among the categories specified in art. 8 par. (2) letter a) of the Law no. 190/2003, as well as persons who have been classified as disabled as a result of injury, contusion, crippling, having been engaged by the local public administration authorities in the collection of munitions and military equipment, in the demining of territory and objects during the years of the Second World War - in the amount of 10000 MDL; 

e) persons assimilated to participants in war from among the categories specified in art. 7 par. (2) point 2) letters a) to c) and e) of the Law no. 190/2003 on veterans and persons engaged by local public administration authorities in the collection of ammunition and military technology, demining of territory and objects during the years of the Second World War - in the amount of 5000 MDL;

f) surviving spouses of World War II participants who died in line of duty or persons with disabilities as a result of World War II - in the amount of 1000 MDL;

g) victims of political repression who were rehabilitated from 1917 to 1990 - in the amount of 1000 MDL.

In the case of divorced parents, on request, the fixed amount of annual material aid shall be divided equally between them.
