The lifetime indemnity for performance athletes and coaches of performance athletes established under the Law no. 330/1999 on physical culture and sport is paid monthly for the current month.
The amounts of the lifetime indemnity established and not received by the beneficiary within 12 consecutive months shall be suspended and resumed for a period not exceeding 3 years prior to the month of the request, but not earlier than the month of suspension, on the basis of the request of the beneficiary or the representative appointed by proxy and the applicant's identity card, submitted to the central specialized body of the public administration in the field of physical culture and sport (for coaches of performance athletes) or to the Ministry of Education and Research (for performance athletes).
