The main functions of the General directorate are:
1) the securing, coordination, monitoring, implementation of all administration processes of the information system „Social Protection” and of and other information components;
2) the attendance and test of all modification processes within the information system „Social Protection” in relation to the amendments of the current legislation and the compiling of the
reviews on implementation as well as on the improving the functionality of the system. The collaboration with external partners which provide services in the Information Technology field;
3) the monitoring and ensuring as well as the optimization of the data base productivity, System Reconfiguration of the operating servers, software installation/updating, network service administration;
4) the ensuring and coordination of technical and operational assistance of the workstations as well as of the printing equipment within NOSI, the monitoring of the informational equipment functioning;
5) providing advisory support and monitoring of the continuous processes running of the informational systems within NOSI;
6) the organization and implementation of the IT and cyber security policy within NOSI;
7) the organization and implementation of prevention measures, analysis and control of information security and managing employee access to the system information resources of the NOSI.
