The main functions of the General directorate are:

1)   the command and control of the financial means of the state social security budget;

2)   the coordination and monitoring of the recording process of the revenues and expenditures of the state social security budget, as well as of the assets and liabilities of the National Office of Social Insurance;

3)   the record-keeping ensure of the costs of the state social security budget administration;

4)   the record-keeping ensure of the balneo-sanatorium treatment, the rest and the recovery of the children's health;

5)     the enforcement of the accounting methodological principles, the systematization and participation in in the elaboration process of the draft normative acts;

6)  the ensure of the implementation of the normative acts on the management of public financial resources;

7)    the organizing of the work for the implementation and the application of information technologies to the process of ensuring the NOSI’s accounting.
