    As of July 1, 2017, the retirement age shall be increased in accordance with the schedule set out in the table below:

    As of July 1, 2017, for women who have given birth to and brought up to the age of 8 years five or more children, the standard retirement ages as set out in the table below apply, reduced by 3 years.

     

    For persons who have completed at least 10 full years of contribution period in special working conditions for both men and women, the standard retirement age established in art. 41 par. (1) of the Law no. 156-XIV of 14.10.1998 on the public pension system is reduced according to the table:

    The list of jobs with special conditions, under which the old age pension is granted on advantageous conditions, as well as the way of application of this list is approved by Government Decision no. 256 of 27.03.2018.

    For the granting of an old age pension under advantageous conditions, a special qualifying period of at least 10 years is established for both men and women, completed under special working conditions, subject to the completion of a full contribution period as set out in the table.

    for incomplete pension:  

    -  at least 15 years for men and women

    1. identity card (original and copy);
    2. employment record book (in original), copy to be presented if the employment record book has not been scanned;
    3. other documents confirming the contribution period;
    4. diploma of studies at the daytime section of higher educational institutions (up to 01.01.1999) (original and copy);
    5. military service record (original and copy) or documents confirming the period of military service;
    6. documents confirming the period of care of a group I invalid or an elderly person who has reached the age of 75 (up to 01.01.1999);
    7. other documents as appropriate.
    1. The retirement pension shall be determined for life from the date on which the conditions for retirement are met, provided that the application and the necessary documents have been submitted within 90 days of that date;
    2. In cases where the deadline for submission of the application has been exceeded, the pension shall be granted from the date of submission of the last required document;
    3. Examination period - 60 days from the date of submission of the application with all the necessary documents.

    When can the pension amount be reviewed 

    The review of pension rights is carried out in the case of:

    a) the occurrence of new circumstances relating to the contribution period, insured income, which occurred before the granting of pension rights;

    b) transfer to another pension category.

    c) persons who continue to work after the entitlement to retirement pension has been acquired.

    The review of pension rights is also carried out for pensioners who became entitled to a pension before 1 January 1999, but only on presentation of the documents confirming the contribution period. 

    Pensioners who are or have been working after the realisation/re-examination of their retirement pension entitlement may request a pension re-examination no more often than every two years, provided that the pension calculated according to the formulas of Law No. 156/1998 is higher than the pension in payment.

    The review of retirement pensions, established up to January 1, 2019, shall be carried out in relation to the accumulated contribution period after the entitlement to a retirement pension, according to the staggering of.

    How to apply / deadline for examination / documents required

    The application for review of the retirement pension shall be submitted to the territorial social insurance body of the insured person's residence, his/her guardian (trustee) or representative appointed by power of attorney, or in electronic form via the single government portal of public services, the government portal of the citizen or the official website of the National Office of Social Insurance.

    The following original and copies of the following documents shall be attached to the application for review of the pension submitted to the TOSI:

    -  applicant's identity card;

    - employment record book or other documents confirming the contribution period (extracts from the orders of employment/ dismissal, salary certificates);

    - other documents as appropriate.

    In the case of submitting an application for review of the retirement pension for the contribution period completed after the pension was established in electronic form via the single government portal of public services, the government portal of the citizen or the official website of the National Office of Social Insurance, the pension is reviewed on the basis of the data in the insured person's personal account.

    The reconsideration of the pension or the rejection of the application for reconsideration is made by a decision issued by the territorial social insurance body and signed by its head within 60 days from the date of submission of the application with all the necessary documents.

    The decision on the rejection of the application for review of the retirement pension and the reason for rejection shall be sent to the applicant within 5 days of the date of issue.
