The main functions of the General directorate are: 

1)  the supervision of compliant implementation of normative acts in the process of establishing the indemnities and other social payments by the territorial offices of social insurance;

2)   the submission of proposals of amending and supplementing the normative acts of relevant domain;

3)   the providing of the methodological and consultative support for the territorial offices of social insurance within the area of benefits and other social payments;

4)   the coordination of the functionality of processes of establishing the indemnities and other social payments in the information system „Social Protection”;

5)   the compiling and updating the information on the establishing the indemnities and other social payments.
